2006 VOC Fundraising Event

On September 19th, Charles and Deborah Royce hosted a cocktail reception at their Riverside, CT home to benefit Volunteers On Call, Inc. Over 100 guests from the Fairfield County area enjoyed the evening. The reception was catered by Plum Foods, music was donated by Jim Clark Music and guests had the opportunity to learn about the work of VOC in the community and around the world.

VOC's Executive Director, Emma Reeve, opened the evening's presentation about the three year old non-for-profit by welcoming guests, sharing insights and introducing VOC's founder and President, Roxana Bowgen. Ms. Bowgen shared her vision about the organization and talked about the growth of Volunteers On Call, Inc. in such a short time. Guests were then directed to a multimedia presentation that depicted the work of VOC, it's growth, hopes for the future and highlighted the value of volunteering.

VOC would like to extend special thanks to Charles and Deborah Royce for hosting the event and Raymond & Cheryl Floyd who started the evenings giving with a donation of $5,000. So many special guests attended and made the evening a wonderful success by raising awareness about Volunteers On Call, cultivating interest in volunteering and raising financial support for the on going work of the organization.
