"Every time I return from an overseas mission trip or local service project, it strikes me that when people say to me: “I can’t make a difference” how untrue that statement is. Of course we can! We may not be able to change the world, but we can change SOMEONE’S world. For only $250 a year we will be able to help a young girl in Kenya complete her education and, God willing, fulfill her dreams of becoming a nurse. I may not always have $250 to spare, but I can spare what I have, a kind word, a gentle smile, a hug, a seed of hope…

Living with a Massai family at the base of Kilimanjaro for a few days drove this message home. These people have very little but what they have they are willing to share entirely with others. They are full of love, compassion, generosity. If they can give why can’t I?"
